Eight Years,
One Movement.
Changing the Narrative
The maiden edition — 50+ leather designers, manufacturers, machine and tool suppliers under one roof. Dignitaries, government officials, and international speakers from Milan and Paris attended. His Highness the former Emir of Kano sent a representative. The conversation officially begins.
The New Possible
Exhibitors returned with products almost at par with international standards — a vivid proof of what a single edition could do. The bar, decisively raised.
Advancing the Conversation
Records broken. Industry experts from Kenya and South Africa joined the stage. Topics spanned the Art of Retail, leveraging technology in production, IP rights for creatives, the power of brand storytelling, and the importance of innovation.
Redefining the Narrative
The world stopped. LLF didn't. Africa's first virtual leather fair — a 3D showroom featuring 24 designers across West Africa. Buyers browsed from their living rooms. The industry proved it could adapt.
LLF5
The first physical edition post-COVID. Some brands did not make it back — but those who did showed up stronger. A special atelier, a section for emerging designers, and masterclasses on AfCFTA, payment gateways, IP rights, and social impact.
Staying Ahead
For the first time, individual brands took the runway solo. The LLF Awards launched — recognising outstanding brands across 4 categories. Branding consultant Alessandra Bell flew in from the UK for an exclusive masterclass: "Why Some Brands Fail and Why Some Thrive."
Leveling Up
Emerging designers pitched to investors live on stage in the Pitch-A-Leather-Biz sessions. The Guild of Leather Designers (GOLD) — a CAC-registered, not-for-profit advisory body — was officially signed into existence. The industry got an institution.
Designing for Tomorrow
A call to action and an invitation to rethink. The fair equipped African leather entrepreneurs with tools, knowledge, and networks to navigate production bottlenecks, supply chain gaps, and the challenge of scale — once again affirming its place as West Africa's largest leather event and a key driver in the evolution of the African leather industry.
Beyond the Hide
26th – 28th June. The most anticipated edition yet.

Femi Olayebi —
The Visionary.
“The frustration was real — but so was the belief. Nigeria's leather industry had everything it needed to compete globally. It just needed a stage. LLF became that stage.”
A premium leather goods designer based in Nigeria, Femi founded Lagos Leather Fair with a singular vision — to build the first dedicated platform that would unify, celebrate, and elevate the Nigerian and African leather industry. What started as a bold idea became the continent's most celebrated leather platform.
More than an event, LLF became a convening force — bringing together designers, manufacturers, suppliers, policymakers, and investors under one roof to bridge gaps, strengthen linkages, and position Nigerian and African leather as a competitive force on the global stage.
